Navigating to the hotel with our luggage was a nightmare. High water levels prevented us from using a water taxi, forcing us to drag our bags through cobblestones and narrow alleys. After the tiring trip, I was disappointed that my initial expectations for a cozy stay didn't meet the reality.

We booked a room with a view of the canal and just loved how we could see the boats drift by. The staff surprised us with a heartfelt gesture for my birthday, a bottle of wine waiting in our room on ice, made it feel special.

the location could've been lovely if only the air conditioning actually worked, I mean, who can sleep in muggy air? also, what’s with the dated rooms? cracked shower tray, really? the locanda is in a quiet passage in the heart of the city, just 5 minutes' walk from the rialto bridge. the manager was super kind and let us check in early, which was a lifesaver during the heatwave. breakfast was delightful, especially the fresh fruits and excellent coffee!
